Finding a therapist is overwhelming. Let’s just be real about that. You’re reading profiles, trying to figure out who might “get you,” and hoping you don’t waste your time telling your story to someone who doesn’t click.
Fit matters. That’s why I offer a free
15-minute consult so you can see if we vibe before committing. If you want to know a little about me first, here’s the deal:
I’m honest. I’m direct. I use humor when it helps. I won’t sit silently and nod for 50 minutes — and I won’t judge you either. My office is a space where you can yell, cuss, cry, or spill the tea. We can get into the hard stuff without it feeling dramatic or heavy the entire time.
I work with adults, teens, and children navigating anxiety, anger, relationship stress, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel stuck in patterns that keep repeating underneath.
Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about getting clear on what’s actually happening — and building the tools to move forward in a way that feels grounded and real.
Weekday daytime appointments are currently available in Muskegon and via telehealth across Michigan.

Hello! I am MacKenzie Fricke.
I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker, certified to provide clinical therapy, counseling, and mental health services both in-person and virtually. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of offering therapeutic services in a variety of settings, including the correctional system, residential homes for children and adolescents, inpatient hospitals for both adults and children, and community mental health and outpatient services. Each experience has helped me grow and adapt my approach to best meet the unique needs of the individuals I serve.
At World Inside Therapy, I provide compassionate counseling services designed to meet your unique needs. Whether you’re facing life’s challenges or navigating personal growth, I’m here to support you in a safe, welcoming environment.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). At times, I also incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. I consider myself an education-based therapist, meaning I’m committed to explaining the "why" behind the methods I choose and the exercises we work on together. My goal is for you to feel confident using the skills we practice in session, not just during our time together, but in your everyday life as well.
